Salary day fails when attendance, the roster and the statutory deduction are three files. A hospital feels it twice: the payroll must be right, and the staff file must be ready when someone asks for credentials, training and who was on duty.
In a company, payroll month is a spreadsheet that imports attendance from a biometric export, leave from an email, and deductions from last month’s memory. PF and ESI are calculated again in another sheet. Someone always finds a joined employee who was never added, or a resigned employee who was still paid.
A hospital has that problem and a second one. Nurses and technicians work shifts. The roster on the notice board and the attendance device do not match, so overtime and night allowance are negotiated. When a surveyor or an assessor asks for appointment letters, licence renewals, induction and who was on duty last Tuesday, the papers are in different folders.
NABH and similar reviews do not ask for a slogan. They ask whether the hospital can show credentials, job roles, training, competency and a duty record. Those are HR records. They fail when HR is only a salary sheet.
The HRMS keeps the employee as the file. Joining, bank, PF, ESI and shift sit on that person. Attendance and leave feed the payroll run. The roster is the plan for who should be on the floor. For a hospital, credential, training and statutory forms sit in the same file the payroll already uses, so the salary run and the staff record are not two projects.
Present days, leave and deductions produce the payslip
Deductions and the forms the office already files
The duty plan and the attendance are not two stories
Credentials, training and joining papers on the employee
Attendance, leave and salary are three sheets, so the payslip is a fresh argument every month.
PF, ESI, TDS and professional tax are recomputed by hand and drift from the salary register.
A hospital roster and the biometric attendance describe different people on the same night.
Licence, induction and training proofs are asked for during a review and are not on the employee.
A new joiner is working before HR has a file, and a resignation is still on the next payroll.
Attendance and approved leave flow into the payroll run. The payslip is generated from that month, not retyped.
PF, ESI and tax deductions are on the salary structure. The forms the office files are produced from those figures.
The duty roster and attendance sit on the same employee, so a night shift can be checked against who was marked present.
Hospitals keep credential, privileging, induction and training on the staff file that payroll already opens.
Joining and relieving dates control whether the person is on the next run. The file does not depend on a reminder.
We list earnings, deductions and who approves leave. Hospital shifts are included if the floor works nights. We do not start from a blank template.
Employees, bank, PF and ESI numbers, and leave balances move in. Hospital staff files get the documents you already keep in folders.
A parallel run against the current sheet. Differences are fixed before the sheet is retired. The roster is checked against one real week.
Payslips and the statutory working come from the system. We stay available on salary day.
Yes. Payroll, PF, ESI, leave and attendance are the same job in a company and in a hospital. A hospital also needs the duty roster and the papers a review asks for: appointment, credentials, induction and training. Those sit on the employee. This is the record set NABH-style reviews look for. The software is not itself an accreditation.
The salary run holds the figures for PF (including the working behind Form 2, Form 11 and ECR), ESI, TDS Form 16 and Form 12BB, professional tax, and gratuity and bonus registers such as Form F. Appointment, confirmation, experience and relieving letters come from the same employee file. Your consultant still files what the portal requires. The numbers are no longer retyped from a sheet.
A day office marks present or leave. A hospital also has a roster: who was supposed to be on the night shift, and who actually was. The roster and the attendance stay on the person so allowance and the duty record use the same night.
Turn the hospital file off. Companies use attendance, leave, payroll and the statutory working without credential screens. You can add them later if you open a clinic or a nursing home.

Queues, missing old reports and a bill that does not match the pharmacy. How hospital software keeps the visit, the bill and the stock together.

Late fees, unmarked attendance and parents calling the office. How school software puts dues, attendance and updates in one place.

A sample with no barcode, a result typed twice and a patient waiting at the counter. How lab software follows the sample from collection to the report on the phone.
